Each third Friday of the May through September month Bike About Town with other locals on a new route each month. If you would rather Run Around Town, meet other runners Sunday mornings for either a short or a long run. Near the Chinese New Year, there is a free event for kids featuring various performances and arts and crafts. Join the Albany Community Center the last Friday of the month for events like live music, lectures, events, movies and much more hosted by @theCenter. For a scary good time take the family to the Albany Halloween Carnival for cookie decorating, prizes and fun! Make a pledge of service to your community during Albany’s MLK Commit to Serve Week. The Solano Stroll is an annual event that takes place over one mile of Solano Avenue closing traffic and drawing close to 100,000 attendees to the open air parade and fair. With community events, the art programs and a vibrant commercial district catering to the needs of the community.
